TISI import licence for electrical appliances
Appliances under a mandatory Thai Industrial Standard cannot be imported before the licence is issued. The licence requires an audit of the overseas factory and laboratory testing of the product, so it has to be planned months ahead of your launch.

Registration in the e-License system and preparation of the power of attorney.

Factory audit
Handled by: TISI or an inspection body · Time: 30 days
The overseas factory is audited; travel costs are part of the quotation.

Laboratory testing
Handled by: Laboratory · Time: 45 days
Samples are taken and tested against the standard.

Licence and TIS mark
Handled by: TISI · Time: 30 days
With the audit and test reports accepted, the import licence is issued.
